Part treasure hunt, part Amazing Race, part puzzle, the Melbourne City Romp is a charity fundraising event like no other!
Armed with a map, clue sheet and mobile phone, teams of 2-6 Rompers attempt to solve challenges at Checkpoints located at iconic venues and quirky locations across Melbourne.
Teams have four hours in which they face a range of challenges involving trivia, history, mathematics, geography, observation and physical endeavours.
Teamwork is the key to success on Romp Day!

Burnet’s flagship fundraising event is accessible for all – no matter what your age, gender or fitness level. Enter a team and share a great day out, discovering aspects of Melbourne you never knew existed.
Fundraising for Burnet
Help support the Burnet Institute’s fight against the ‘Big Three’; HIV, TB and malaria and encourage friends and family to sponsor your team. Prizes will be awarded to the highest fundraisers.
A Romping Start 10am – Midday
Arrive at Birrarung Marr with your Romp team and a mobile phone 15 minutes before your allocated start time and have four hours to explore the best of what Melbourne has to offer.
Share in the Romp fun – dress up!
Share in the Romp spirit with family and friends and take part in the dress up challenge. Not compulsory but definitely encouraged, get your team’s crazy outfits ready!
